A true open-air museum, the Rocca and Sasso di Manerba Reserve is a naturalistic gem. The largest of the five Garda islands is also known by the name of Isola Borghese. In addition to its priceless naturalistic treasure of lush, rare vegetation, it houses a magnificent villa open to the public.
A small oasis on the lake, the Isola dei conigli is a concentration of green meadows and flowering fauna. You can reach it by ferry, or the more adventurous can cross the strip of water that separates it from the mainland on foot.
If someone asked us which our favourite beaches are, we would have to include Baia del Vento in San Felice. Composed of gravel with sandy areas, it offers a view over most of Lake Garda.
Legend has it that Manerba was built in devotion to the goddess Minerva; its geographical name was derived from "Minerva arx".
